1. I agree that death is a constant in the images of gangsta rap.
2. The law of Hollywood's wild west was that all problems can be solved by a gun.
3. Nodoby deserves to be almost death for drunk driving, like Rodney King did. I can't believe the cops were aquitted!

1. By 1998, hip hop had overtaken country music to become America's biggest-selling format.
2. I look up to rappers that rap and don't feel the need to use curse words, it's hard to do now a days!
3. DJ Kool Herc practically was the pioneer of hip hop!
4. It's hard to trace back who actually invented hip hop because it's so many things and everyone knows about it.
5. I never knew that hip hop was an element of reggae, wow!

I think that’s why I love graffiti so much, because it came from hip-hop!

DJs and Mc’s was the most important thing to hip-hop when it 1st came along.

Run D.M.C, The Beastie Boys, and Def Jam recordings were a reaction against hip-hop in 1984.

Russell Simmons was the 1st great mogul of the rap industry!

Gangsta rap took its toll from L.A. in the 1990s and replaced the ideas of Public Enemy.
